Speaker: Ryuichi Hiroki
Born in 1954 in Fukushima, Japan. Ryuichi Hiroki made his feature debut with “Sexual Abuse! Exposed Woman” in 1982. In 1994, he received a scholarship from The Sundance Institute and studied film in the United States. In 2003, he became widely recognized for “Vibrator” which travelled to more than 40 local and international film festivals as well as earned him numerous awards. His credit includes “April Bride” (2009), “The Egoists” (2011), “Yellow Elephant” (2013), “Strobe Edge” (2015), “Kabukicho Love Hotel” (2015), “The Firefly Summer” (2016), “Policeman and Me” (2017), “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” (2017), “Marmalade Boy” (2018), “It’s boring here, pick me up” (2018), “Noise” (2022), “You’ve Got a Friend” (2022), “Motherhood” (2022), “Phases of the Moon” (2022) and “2 Women” (2022).
