Second Thoughts
Malaysia | 2014 | English/Malay | 108 min | Drama/Comedy | MOV
Synopsis
Taking place mere moments before the akad nikah (solemnization ceremony), CUAK is the story of a young man’s wedding jitters, uniquely told through the eyes of five different directors who each take one of the issues plaguing our groom-to-be, combining together to make one movie. A story of love and marriage, CUAK is a truly Malaysian movie with themes that resonate with a universal audience regardless of race or religion. Produced by Garang (i)ndie Pictures, CUAK is the result of a curious thought – what would happen if you got 5 directors together and told them to each direct a segment of a feature length movie as if it was a short film, then put these films together to make a story. Thankfully, after many months of brainstorming and discussions, the result is a truly solid story showcasing amazing, talented Malaysian filmmakers.
