Malaysia Golden Global Awards Short Film Competition

Kuala Lumpur– The inaugural Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Award is set to promote the local and international film production where it also aims to introduce the unique Malaysian arts and cultures to audiences worldwide. Above all, it will help to promote Malaysian tourism industry.
In honor of the Presenter of Short Film Competition which organized by Malaysia Golden Global Awards Dato Sri Vincent Tiew, Managing Director of Andaman Group, a Press Conference was done on 29th of August 2016 at the head office of Andaman Group.
During the Press Conference, Presenter of Malaysia Golden Global Awards Short Film Competition Dato Sri Vincent Tiew, Managing Director of Andaman Group, Official Automobile of Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Awards Mr. Jayden Liew, the Executive Director of BMW Wheelcorp Premium, Official Venue of Malaysia International Film Festival, Mr. Ernest Lee, Representative of Nu Sentral, and the Honored Guest, Director Ho Yuhang were attended to witness the Launching of Malaysia Golden Global Awards Short Film Competition.
The Chairman of Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Awards Ms. Joanne Goh announced that there is a short film competition, which is presented by Andaman Group, taking place and she invites everyone to participate in it. The theme of the competition is ‘Passion’. She explained that the Malaysia Golden Global Awards Short Film Competition intends to provide a platform for budding filmmakers to showcase their talents and skills.
RM 2000 cash and a trophy will be rewarded to the winner of the short film competition, and the winning film will be screened during the Malaysia International Film Festival 2017. Director from Hong Kong, Mr Adam Wong shared his experience on how to make a good short film and he concluded that making a good short film is like creating a piece of art, it has to be true, good and beautiful.
During the group interview session, Dato Sri Vincent Tiew mentioned that Andaman Group will be fully supporting to promote Malaysia movie globally through Malaysia Golden Global Awards Short Film Competition.
Furthermore, Director Ho Yuhang felt that film industry in Malaysia does need a platform like Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Awards to untie the curiosity of Malaysian.
Ms. Joanne Goh also mentioned that the organiser will be participating Busan International Film Festival in October 2017 to promote Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Awards. Besides, Ms. Joanne has also hinted that a France film has been invited to join the Malaysia International Film Festival, the complete screening list will be released soon.
