Synopsis
Having long recovered from the childhood trauma of her mother’s death during the Ghost Festival, Bonnie Lam begins experiencing strange incidents after the mysterious appearance of her uncle, Ah Kiu, one night after business closure. This encounter eventually leads her to make a trip back to her hometown of Behrang Stesen, where she learns from her father, Bobby, that she had just missed an opportunity to meet Ah Kiu once more after he had suddenly passed away. With emotions running high, Bonnie and Bobby get into a heated argument. Bonnie zips back to the city but encounters an abrupt border closure due to the pandemic. Stranded with nowhere else to go, Bonnie retreats to her family’s old coffeeshop to make peace with her father but is shocked to discover that it’s haunted by ghosts of her deceased relatives returning for the Hungry Ghost Festival.
